Tulip Route Dronten

Experience the Tulip Route Dronten, starting April 15^th, 2017

For the third year in a row the Tulip Route Dronten will showcase the beautiful tulip
fields in the eastern part of Flevoland. Together with the route in the Noordoostpolder, with a total of over 215 kilometres, we form the largest tulip driving route in Europe.

The hiking, biking and driving routes guide you along incredibly colourful tulip fields in eastern Flevoland. Along the way there is much to experience, such as visiting local entrepreneurs and enjoying the beautiful polder nature in its many forms. Local farms and other companies who open their doors for visitors will display their opening hours daily with the use of a special tulip flag along the route.

You are welcome to visit these companies and the tulip fields in, for example, the natural area ‘het Rivierduingebied’ nearby Swifterbant. The bike and hiking routes do not only highlight colourful tulip fields, but also the local culture.

On the east side of Dronten you can find the natural area “Rondom het Greppelveld” and two of our beautiful biking routes. One of them will lead you to Hanneke’s tulip picking garden, where you can pick your own bunch of tulips to take home. The driving route crosses the entire municipality of Dronten.

Be amazed by the colours and the variety of tulip fields in our beautiful region. Our scenic hiking route, driving route and three biking routes provide you with the flexibility to discover our stunning tulip fields in your way and at your own pace.
The official opening of the Tulip Route will be held at Bed & Breakfast “De Kandelaar” at the Hoekwantweg 7 in Biddinghuizen on April 15^th at 10:30. You are welcome to join us and visit the local market.
